Khronos glTF Viewer 1.0

The Khronos glTF Viewer is a versatile application designed for the viewing and interaction with 3D models in the Khronos glTF 2.0 file format, now featuring augmented reality capabilities.

glTF serves as the open, industry-standard 3D asset format that facilitates the efficient transmission and loading of 3D scenes and models across engines and applications. Recognized as an ISO/IEC International Standard, it has emerged as the preferred format for 3D asset delivery within web and real-time environments.

Key App Features:

• Built-In Sample Models – Explore sample glTF models that highlight features such as physically-based rendering and animation.
• Object Mode – Rotate, zoom, or pan a 3D model to examine it from different perspectives.
• AR Mode – Position a 3D model on real-world surfaces through augmented reality technology.
• File Browser – Navigate and display personal glTF files, with optional integration for iCloud Drive.

The application supports all features outlined in the core glTF 2.0 specification, along with various extensions, including Physically Based Rendering (PBR) effects such as clearcoat. A comprehensive list of supported glTF extensions can be found in the GitHub repository.

This reference application is an Open Source initiative backed by the Khronos Group and is distributed under the Apache 2.0 license.
